OCT 2002.The central city inner city, proposed to ISEA2002, has been selected by ISEA2002 Art Work Committee. ISEA2002, 11th International Symposium on Electronic Art will be held in Nagoya, Japan from October 27 to 31 with the theme, [Orai]. [Orai] is a Japanese word, meaning comings and goings, communication, and contract, as well as streets and traffic. About 200 years ago, a book titled Nagoya Orai was compiled and published in Nagoya and it was used as a of textbook for teaching and writing. Through arguments around art and its interdisciplinary studies, ISEA2002 NAGOYA[Orai] hopes to provide an opportunity to create a new text in this electronically networked society.

JUNE 2002. Stanza will be exhibiting soundtoys at the ICA in london in june. The exhibit will be part of the new cybersonica festival . The show initilally for three days will now run for a month as part of the new media centre. Soundtoys artists will also give a talk about their work in a separate featured event on June 13.

MAY 2002. Stanza performance using three laptops two projectors previewing the websites and running the sound through max featured at a new monthly digital night out on May 22nd. The night features artists and activists working online and in digital media, talking about their work and ending with a digital jam session with visual projections and sounds mix. The first evening will feature main demos from STANZA from stanza James Stevens of consume and bongo from pirate tv subvergence project, the central city. STANZA will present works from www.thecentralcity.co.uk .Continuing the search for the "soul of the city". www.subvergence.net The internet has become the the leading economic and artistic tool for our age. Words like emergence are used to explain the propulsion of these medias into our daily lives. into open space. The first night of the 'open_digi' season (read below) should be streamed live, available through club.net-art tomorrow evening.

MAY 2002.Stanza invited to NEC impaqt, a closed conference by NEC computers at Angers in France. Stanza presents work and a paper on convergence to 200 computer executives from worldwide computer operations.

MAY 2002. Matter + Memory will be launched May31, 2002 in Montréal, Canada. The exhibition will feature 12 artists from all over the world and will be accompanied by an on-line catalogue with texts (English and French) written by Sylvie Parent, Pierre Robert, Esther Bourdages and myself.We are interested in exhibiting your project "The Central City" within the context of this exhibition.

MAY 2002. Stanza goes to Napoli to perform at an electronic music event with Bourbonese Qualk. For the first time in over fifteen years an onstage reunion with stanza and crab. Perfomed on stage for live Italian TV in a church apparently.

And it is 'of a body': if you visit the linked sites, you will get a feel for his work and would be able to identify it were you to encounter it randomly, which might happen, because he exibhits his work all over the planet and the net.

APRIL 2002. Stanza taking part in a conference for NEC computers on the convergence of multi-media tools and new technologies that are available on the PC. Stanza will present online work and make a piece of artwork and give a talk. Stanza presented a lecture on convergence to 150 journalists and also showed interactive artworks. Read presentation

JAN 2002. Stanza Asked to be part of Cybersonica and curate a show at the ICA on new media and audiovisual art in the new media centre. The Cybersonica festival brings together the whole community of sonic innovation, from performers, composers,DJs and VJs to developers, academics, broadcasters and record companies.

N0V 2001. Cork arts trail international guest artist. I spent ten days in eireland after presenting my work and giving a lecture. Article 'art and entertainment', appears in local newspaper.

N0V 2001. Stanza wins first prize in european city of culture links event oganised by V2 in holland and Virose. in portugal. Stanza goes to Porto to show some work and collect the prize.

DEC. 2000.THE CENTRAL CITY .The intsalled cdrom version is included in "Architettura" in Florence Italy, and in a detailed catalogue. The 5th International Festival for Architecture in Video central theme is projects for urban transformations. The Festival emphasised the role of architecture in redefinition of spaces and the development of new strategies for reconstruction and/or urban improvement....

NOV 2000.Stanzas "the central city", this internet project wins CyNetArt2000 first prize and is also exhibited in Dresden. Information in a detailed catalogue. Die Central City Fläche ist ein interaktives Stadt-Erlebnis, die Nebeneinanderstellung von urbanen Geräuschen und Bildern, Türme, Karten, die Klänge der Stadt, eine audiovisuelle Stadt-Erfahrung. Eingearbeitete shockwave-Filme in Rahmen und speziell entworfene Hintergrundgeräusche formen eine Collage mit Texten und Computerarbeiten. Bilder aus computergestützten Zeichnungen und Geräuschen von London.Themen oder Motive, die im Kontext dieser Arbeit erscheinen, beinhalten folgendes: Netzwerke von Computertechnologie verglichen mit organischen Netzwerken sowie Stadtnetzen als Gitter, Städte als Gitter und Computerchips als Gitter.

OCT 2000.The music section has been completely revamped with online mixing desks in real time, a new improved juke box ( with streaming audio), generative sounds, a better discography. Includes history and links to my soundtoys. Plays tracks off cd audio releases and has links and info about previuos work with bourbonese qualk.

JUNE.1997. A selection of Stanza paintings for sale through the Proarte one of the worlds first online galleries. Stanza acts as design and technical consulant to Proarte. This private commercial enterprise is headed by Ana Soares , Pier Franco Grosso, and Lord Gowrie chairman of the english arts coucil.

JUNE.1997. Stanza wins a department of trade and industry innovation award for new media and prize money.

August.1997. NET art pieces biomorphs and central city first version goes live.

JUNE.1996. Stanza puts up all his music into an online jukebox which and is one of the first sites on the net streaming audio and sounds

JUNE.1995 - 6. Stanza moves from cdrom ideas and transfers all work to the internet. Begins early internet projects as internet specifc and places a number of online experieces with a random site interface based on cells and biomedical images.
